This site is about optimizing any and all aspects of work and life. From mental health, productivity, and fitness to financial, professional, and even simple “life hacks”, I will try to provide information on anything I find useful.
Typically, I try to provide only well researched, scientifically backed evidence for any claim or rationale I make. However, sometimes this is impossible or unnecessary. Sometimes, there does not exist comprehensive scientific research for certain things as they may be niche or new such as the Wim Hof Method. Other times, scientific research simply isn’t necessary. If something works for someone, then it works for them. People are very different and the human body and brain are incredibly complex. Sometimes, I’ll post something that simply just works for me with no real scientific basis. In such instances, you’re free to experiment for yourself or completely ignore it. And in fact, other times, I’ll post a comprehensive, well-researched article which you may be led to fully believe only to find that my suggestion or advice doesn’t work for you. In such cases, don’t be mad at yourself or me. It’s important to know that we are all different and that the only way to figure out what works for you is through experimentation. In addition, sometimes, things that work for you currently may not work for you in the future and vice versa. Also, sometimes things may not be working for you correctly as a result of human error. Perhaps you are not fully trusting it to work, perhaps your doubt is causing poor implementation and your bias has doomed it from the jump. Also, there is a strong chance that you simply do not implement it correctly on your first try, and that’s okay. It’s difficult to do anything correctly on a first try and that’s fine. Regardless, I hope you find this site useful and it helps improve your life.
